Molgas Energy Group has carried out its first bio-LNG bunkering operation at Le Havre, supplying fuel to its customer United European Car Carriers (UECC). The operation marks the beginning of the firm’s activities at the French port, where the supplier has now secured a long-term permit for bunker deliveries.
Le Havre is the leading container port in France and the second largest by total volume, serving as a gateway to European markets.
Completion of the operation required coordination between Molgas teams, local port authorities, shipping agents, and dockworkers.
“By adding Le Havre, we strengthen our strategic network of clean energy supply, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable maritime mobility,” the company said.
Headquartered in Madrid, Molgas’s marine operations cover the Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea and North Sea, offering a range of services, including ship-to-ship, truck-to-ship and terminal-to-ship operations.
In September 2025, the firm completed its first LNG delivery at Leixões, establishing a permanent supply location for the alternative fuel at one of Portugal’s busiest seaports.
Molgas also noted last month that additional Portuguese ports “will follow soon”.
