The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco will host a special screening of The Rediscovered Photograph on Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m., in the presence of its director, Pierre Primtens. The 2024 film, described by the Institute’s cultural activities manager Estelle Massé, is a deeply personal and poetic reconstruction of memory, as the filmmaker searches for a lost childhood photograph that becomes a metaphor for identity and healing. Using archive footage from other families, Primtens pieces together a story that blurs the line between autobiography and fiction, transforming absence into a moving reflection on memory, loss, and the resilience of self-discovery.
