Major shipping lines have begun imposing surcharges on containers moving to and from Chittagong to offset the increased tariffs imposed by the port authority.
MSC announced on Saturday that it will levy a surcharge of between $100 and $200 per TEU, effective from October 16, to adjust to the higher port costs.
