On August 15, Nanjing Maritime Safety Administration, in conjunction with the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Management Committee, established the first maritime “Credit + Intelligence” supervision yard for shipborne dangerous goods containers in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area at Jiangsu Sumec Hardware & Tools Co., Ltd.
Since the establishment of the nation’s first maritime “Credit + Intelligence” supervision yard in April last year, Nanjing has successively established 5 supervision yards. Nearly 11,000 TEUs of the “New Three” goods, with a cargo value of nearly 12.5 billion yuan, have been exported from these supervision yards. This yard innovatively employs a “credit management + intelligent empowerment” model, utilizing information technology to implement real-time monitoring of the entire cargo transportation process. While strictly adhering to safety supervision bottom lines, it achieves “one-stop” service for container stuffing, inspection, and port arrival. This initiative significantly enhances regulatory efficiency, effectively reduces unnecessary open-container inspections for compliant containers, substantially lowers enterprises’ logistics costs and clearance times, and further smoothens the logistics transportation channel.
Nanjing Maritime Safety Administration stated that, as the lead unit for shipping-related tasks in the construction of the Nanjing Regional Shipping and Logistics Center, it will strictly implement the deployment requirements of the province and city, go all out to promote logistics cost reduction and efficiency increase, actively advance the establishment and operation of maritime supervision yards, assist key import and export enterprises in reducing international shipping and comprehensive logistics costs, and enhance their market competitiveness.
