The Managing Director of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) announced on Thursday, October 2, that the neighboring country is preparing to sign a new contract for the exploitation of two new oil fields with Kazakhstan.
According to Anadolu, Ahmet Turkoglu stressed that Kazakhstan plays a crucial role in the international oil and natural gas markets, also informing that they signed a cooperation agreement with KazMunayGaz, the state oil company of Kazakhstan.
He also pointed out that Kazakhstan has begun using the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which is important for Turkey and the surrounding countries.
“This pipeline will be important for us when we engage further here,” he mentioned, among other things.
