ROME – The National Seafarers’ Fund has announced the meeting between the maritime ITS network and the Maritime Training Centers, organized in Rome on December 3rd, at Confitarma – Piazza SS. Apostoli, 66, starting from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
“During the meeting, which we understand is the first initiative ever organized on the topic“ explains the President Angelo D’Amato ”we will compare notes on the methods of delivering training, on funding opportunities, on the best practices that the maritime ITSs and the STCW Training Centers are developing, on the tools and initiatives that the FNM can deploy, with the aim of increasingly enhancing the training paths of Officer Cadets and promoting among young people a knowledge of the professional opportunities that the SHIPPING sector can offer”
“It will be a moment of comparison” adds the attorney Alessandro Ferrari” also on the project for the digitalization of the maritime workers’ registry that the MIT General Directorate led by Patrizia Scarchilli is developing and which has, among its various objectives, that of creating interactions with the world of training and certification, to provide shipping companies and maritime workers with ever more job opportunities”. We will indeed have the opportunity to discuss it together with the representative companies of Assarmatori and Confitarma and also with the relevant Institutions, such as the General Directorate for the Sea, Maritime Transport and Inland Waterways, the General Command of the Port Captaincies and R.A.M.-.
