The inaugural voyage of the Star Princess set sail from the Port of Barcelona, which will also be its final destination. The 17th ship of Princess Cruises is celebrating an 11-day journey through the Western Mediterranean.

The voyage ends on October 15, 2025, visiting Marseille, Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples, Sicily, Cartagena, and Gibraltar, before returning to the Ciudad Condal. After another seven-day Mediterranean voyage, the ship will undertake a transatlantic journey to debut in Fort Lauderdale for its Caribbean season and official christening ceremony on November 6, 2025.

“The Star Princess shines with its own light as one of the largest and most spectacular vessels we have built, and we proudly welcome our excited guests on its inaugural voyage. We wish our captain, senior officers, and crew of the Star Princess much success, may their journeys be safe, their sunsets unforgettable, and may it shine, as its name promises, in the sky and on the seas,” stated Gus Antorcha, president of Princess Cruises.

After a season of Caribbean cruises, from the winter of 2025 to the spring of 2026, visiting the region’s top destinations, the ship will sail through the Panama Canal to Seattle for its first season of seven-day Inside Passage Alaska cruises in the summer of 2026.

The captain of the Star Princess, Gennaro Arma, stated that “from leading the new build team at the Monfalcone shipyard to observing our incredible crew guiding it on its inaugural voyage with our first guests, this journey is a true honor for me and for our dedicated crew. We warmly invite guests to come aboard our new Star Princess to experience the extraordinary and appreciated service for which Princess is known.”

The Star Princess, 177,800 tons and with a capacity for 4,300 guests, features 30 exclusive restaurants and bars, a premier entertainment and activities offering, and luxury accommodations.
