The fate of Nippon Cruise Lines’ Pacific Venus, post its last cruise, is still unknown
Japan’s Nippon Cruise Lines, which operates Pacific Venus under the Venus Cruise brand, has announced it is withdrawing from the cruise business.

The last cruise of the 1998-built Pacific Venus will be a New Year’s cruise departing from Kobe on December 27, 2022 which will call in Okinawa and finish on January 4, 2023.

The 26,594gt cruise ship was built at IHI and has sailed on both domestic and international cruises for Nippon Cruise Lines under the Japanese flag since delivery.

Nippon Cruise Lines, part of a ferry company, has not disclosed what will happen to Pacific Venus post the last cruise.
