William Wallace will lead the shipping company’s global initiative on transshipment and efficient dry bulk solutions for customers in the global commodity economy
Norden has appointed William Wallace as the new head of the company’s global logistics and transshipment activities.
The shipping company announced this on LinkedIn.
William Wallace will lead the scaling of Norden’s business area for efficient and sustainable logistics solutions for customers in the global commodity economy. Among other responsibilities, he will oversee optimizing the use of larger vessels and reducing fuel consumption per freight mile.
“William joins us to lead and develop our global transshipment and logistics activities, where we help our customers remain competitive while also contributing to reducing their environmental impact,” Norden wrote on LinkedIn.
William Wallace has extensive experience from key positions in the maritime sector. He comes from a role as CEO and COO at Neu Shipping in Hamburg.
He has also held leadership positions at Oldendorff Carriers and the shipbroker group BRS, and his career—Norden notes—has given him solid expertise in managing large dry bulk fleets and complex logistics operations. These experiences will be applied to strengthen Norden’s global market position in logistics.
Norden has recently launched a new logistics project for Kimberley Metals Group in Western Australia and expects more similar projects to follow. The goal is to offer optimized and scalable solutions in close collaboration with the shipping company’s global customers.
