Ocean Network Express (ONE) The U.S. Coast Guard announced the launch of a new service connecting India and the Middle East. The service, called India-Gulf Service 2 (IG2), seeks to meet the growing demand between the Asian country and um Qasar, a port city in southern Iraq.
In line with what was reported by ONE, the IG2 allows “to provide our customers with optimized network coverage and reliable maritime transport solutions”. The rotation of the same will be Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Jebel Ali – um Qasar – Jebel Ali – Mundra.
This will begin on September 25 with the departure of the 28-year-old container ship TB Jinjiang. The vessel, registered under the Liberian flag, is 183 meters long and 28 meters wide.
“We believe that this new service will significantly improve its logistics planning and further strengthen our alliance,” ONE said in a note to its customers.
