Artificial intelligence will be used in applications specifically designed to improve safety and maintenance in offshore energy production
Offshore energy companies and engineering contractors will be able to use artificial intelligence (AI) driven applications to enhance safety and maintenance.
Tampnet and Armada have combined forces to deliver AI-driven applications over robust connectivity networks, enabling operators of offshore installations, drilling rigs, floating production units and support vessels to use real-time data for operational and safety insights.
Armada’s applications will be available through Tampnet’s subsea fibre networks in the US Gulf and North Sea region, over private 4G and 5G links and connections to communications satellites.
Initially, OpsSafety and OpsInsight will be available. OpsSafety is a real-time worker safety monitoring application that tracks personnel in dangerous areas, monitors adherence to wearing personal protective equipment, identifies fires and explosion risks, and detects slip-trip-fall accidents.
OpsInsight provides AI-powered analysis of unstructured sensor data to provide predictive and prescriptive insights for data-driven decisions.
The goal of Tampnet and Armada working together is to enable safer, more efficient operations by integrating edge computing with robust connectivity.
