Arvigo president of the company 96.7% controlled by the Authority, Ameri, Rosso and Ciuffardi board members. The board to remain in office until the approval of the 2025 financial statements
Genoa – Maurizio Anselmo will lead Ente Bacini as chief executive officer, who for twelve years, until 2024, with the transfer from the Gavio group to Ignazio Messina, was CEO of Terminal San Giorgio. The shareholders’ meeting of the company that manages the five dry docks of the port of Genoa, controlled by the Adsp of the Western Ligurian Sea (96.739%) with Riparatori navali genovesi at 2.174% and Gin-Genova Industrie Navali at 1.087%, has launched the new board of directors: chairman, chief executive officer and three board members and approved the 2024 financial statements which close with a profit of 959,661 euros. The board, however, will remain in office for only one year, perhaps less, the time to approve the 2025 accounts.
Anselmo, a graduate in economics and commerce with a specialization in Transport Economics, succeeds Alessandro Terrile, since last June deputy mayor of Genoa, number two to the mayor, Silvia Salis. Lawyer Alessandro Arvigo, already a city councilor for the PD in the old administration of Marta Vincenzi, but today close to the League, is the new chairman of Ente Bacini. He takes the place of Daniela Boccadoro Ameri, who was nevertheless confirmed on the board. Completing the board are the appointments of former city councilor for social policies and culture in the Bucci administration, Lorenza Rosso, and Silvano Ciuffardi, a partner of Compagnia Unica, who was the opponent of the current consul, Antonio Benvenuti, in the last round of elections for the renewal of the board of Culmv in 2022. The representatives of Riparatori Navali and Gin, who also approved the financial statements, however abstained on the appointments to the board of directors.
“The Port System Authority, as the majority shareholder, has deemed this duration appropriate to allow for a process of evaluation and in-depth analysis on the new corporate structure – explains a note from the Adsp – in line with the regulatory framework governing the participation of public bodies in companies, and through a process of discussion with stakeholders and the concerned public administrations. The goal is to ensure an adequate and sustainable governance model, functional to providing the maximum protection to the 47 employees of the company and the 700 direct and indirect workers who daily operate in the sector through shipbuilding and repair companies, excellences of the territory.”
“The shareholders’ meeting has made important and valuable choices – comments the president of the Adsp, Matteo Paroli – identifying a board of directors characterized by heterogeneous and complementary skills, an element that represents a wealth for addressing with balance and vision the needs of a strategic sector such as that of shipbuilding and refitting.”
Also today, meanwhile, the Adsp has launched the tender procedure for the construction of the new platform between Docks 4 and 5 of the company, as part of the plan of interventions for the redevelopment of the entire sector. An intervention that will allow for more space on land.
