Port of Iquique receives second cruise ship of 2025-2026 season

The Port of Iquique received the second cruise ship of the 2025-2026 season, which was completed after arriving from Callao, Peru, with 600 people on board, as indicated by the Empresa Portuaria Iquique (EPI).

This took place with the arrival of the Viking Octantis at Site No. 1 of the Molo Terminal, which made its first stop in Chile as part of its 85-day travel itinerary that began in Nuuk, Greenland, on September 4, 2025.

The vessel is the second linked to Viking Cruises to dock at the Iquique port facility, following the twin unit Viking Polaris which inaugurated the season on October 20.

The stay of the Viking Octantis will be managed by Agunsa and will last for just over 17 hours. It is scheduled to depart around 18:00 hours bound for Valparaíso, arriving at Site No. 8 operated by the concessionaire Terminal Portuario Valparaíso (TPV) during the morning of Thursday the 30th.

Regarding the Port of Iquique, at least 10 passenger vessels are expected to arrive at the port facility during the current season.
