Mein Schiff 7 made its first call at the Port of Le Havre, so the traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held, celebrated in the presence of Captain Jens Troier and local authorities, including the city, Le Havre Croisières (the cruise terminal operator), the Sailors’ Club, and the tour operator.

This is the first call to the French Atlantic coast for the ship, which is 316 meters long and carries 2,800 passengers and 1,000 crew members.

“We are delighted to welcome Mein Schiff 7 from TUI Cruises for its first visit to Le Havre. This milestone reflects our commitment to modernizing our infrastructure and enhancing the cruise experience on the French Atlantic coast. We look forward to welcoming the cruise ship back to our new facilities in 2026,” said Alexandra Ruiz, General Manager of Le Havre Croisières.

Specifically, during its next arrival, in May 2026, Mein Schiff 7 will be welcomed at the new facilities of the cruise terminal construction project, currently underway and led by Le Havre Croisières, which plans to deliver terminals T2 and T3 by December 2025, with their commissioning scheduled for January 2026.

These modern facilities will significantly improve passenger comfort and operational efficiency, while also allowing cruise ships calling at the port to connect to the power grid, a sustainable project driven by Haropa Port.

Currently in the testing phase at the Pierre Callet dock (terminal 2), the first to be equipped, the shore power system is expected to be operational by the end of 2025. Subsequently, it will be extended to the Roger Meunier and Joannes Couvert docks (terminals 1 and 3) in the coming months, and is expected to be fully operational on all docks between mid and late 2026.
