The Vietnamese prime minister has approved a proposal to develop the Lien Chieu Port in Danang at a cost of more than VND3.4 trillion ($147 million), which will relieve congestion in the central Vietnamese port region.
Tien Sa, Danang’s main port, is currently running at nearly full capacity.
Danang is the country’s third-largest city, situated in the center of the country’s coastline.
