Livorno – The confirmation of the series of meetings that has given new impulse and centrality to the Club, the maintenance of the “Propellerino of the year” award, the Propeller’s “Scholarships” and the launch of a new initiative, “Lo shipping comunica” (Shipping Communicates), whose details will be announced in the coming weeks. These were the highlights of the Propeller Club Port of Leghorn’s 2025 Annual Assembly, which was held last Monday on the premises of the Yacht Club.
The members approved the 2025 final balance sheet, the 2026 budget and the related membership fee, which sees a slight increase precisely to maintain – indeed, to increase – the offering of initiatives. “In October,” said the president Maria Gloria Giani Pollastrini in her report, “we will host a high-level speaker, a journalist, writer, and communications consultant, who, I am sure, will provoke discussion and animate a debate that will interest people beyond our cluster. Then in November, we will organize a meeting on the topic of ‘exit’, which is very timely, where we will involve local operators and the Central Administration for a direct and informative discussion. In December, we have the traditional Christmas dinner scheduled, while from the new year we will launch a new format, ‘Lo shipping comunica’ (Shipping Communicates), which will be added to our events and to the ‘Propellerino of the year’ award which have been so successful.”
During the Assembly, three new members were welcomed: the journalist Francesco Filiali, marketing director of Messaggero Marittimo, the customs specialist Nicolò Sotgiu and Eng. Georger Madesis, country manager of Ineos. Among the Authorities present were Admiral Canu, Provincial Carabinieri Colonel Mineo, Provincial Guardia di Finanza Colonel Forcina and the Fire Brigade Commander Raschillà.
