Puerto Angamos highlighted the operational advantages it offers for the countries integrated into the Capricornio Bioceanic Corridor (CBC), within the framework of the VII Forum of the CBC Subnational Territories, which is taking place in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina, and in which the eight regional governments of Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil that comprise it are participating.

The instance aims to enhance this route that connects northern Chile with southern Brazil, where the Antofagasta Region has special relevance as the exit and entry point of the corridor.

“We are the largest multipurpose terminal in northern Chile, so this type of instance allows us to showcase the great operational advantages that our facilities and the bioceanic corridor offer to companies from Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, opening a direct door for their products to the Pacific,” emphasized the Sustainability Manager of Puerto Angamos, Macarena Yugovic.

Currently, Puerto Angamos has the capacity to receive different types of cargo, delivering logistical solutions for various clients, highlighting its copper and lithium hubs. According to the port facility, one of the advantages that Mejillones Bay has for port activity are its natural conditions, given the low downtime associated with weather issues, being the lowest percentage in the area.

“We are very happy with the presence of Puerto Angamos in this important forum that brings together the actors driving the development of our countries. Having the opportunity to learn about the experience of this port, which is so strategic for the bioceanic corridor, allows us to bring viewpoints closer and strengthen a chain that positively impacts the progress of the inhabitants of these provinces,” stated the Provincial Deputy and President of the Jujuy Bioceanic Corridor Council, Fabián Tejerina, on the matter.
