Within the framework of Industry Month, and with the Government of Chubut’s idea of strengthening port development, production, and foreign trade for the province, the Ministry of Production and the Puerto Madryn Port Administration (APPM) participated in the seminar “Marketing Opportunities and Access to the Thai Market for Patagonia”.
It was an event organized by the Industrial and Foreign Trade Chamber of Puerto Madryn and the Patagonia Region (CIMA Patagonia), in which the Director of International Trade, Estela Lioi, presented on the export statistics of the province of Chubut in recent years, highlighting the territory’s export potential and the opportunities that are opening up to further expand the presence of Chubut products in the world.
Representing the APPM, the Operations Director, Martín Liendo, spoke about the advantages and characteristics of the city’s port terminals, underlining their strategic importance for boosting the region’s foreign trade and facilitating access to new international markets.
The meeting featured a presentation by Krit Tankanarat, Ambassador of Thailand to Argentina and Pro Tempore President of the Asean Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), and was moderated by Fernando Terraza, a director of CIMA Patagonia.
During the event, experiences, analyses, and opportunities for commercial integration between Patagonia and Southeast Asia were shared, in a space for dialogue with exporting companies, business chambers, and public and private institutions of the regional productive ecosystem.
The participation of the Province of Chubut, in this case through the Ministry of Production and the APPM, in this type of instance is key to strengthening commercial and productive ties, consolidating the international integration of regional economies, and projecting new growth opportunities for the entire province.
