Recently, the first VLAC ship inert gas generator system independently developed by Shanghai Qiyao Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Qiyao Environmental”), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation 711 Research Institute, successfully completed system performance tests and passed the acceptance by the shipyard and shipowner with all technical indicators reaching domestically leading levels. The equipment will subsequently be installed on Jiangnan Shipbuilding’s 93,000 cubic meter ultra-large ammonia carrier (VLAC) to support the green upgrade and transformation of the shipping industry.
The inert gas generator is an essential safety device for liquid cargo carriers.
