MAY 22, 2015 — Will the “Ro-Pax of the Future” have rotor sails? It looks like it from a teaser image released by Finland’s Deltmarin which will reveal details of the design at a June 4 event in Oslo, Norway, being staged in conjunction with the Nor-Shipping exhibition.
Deltamarin says that with the “help of our partners the Ro-Pax design is fully incorporated with the latest enviro technologies everyone wants to adopt.”
No word on who those partners are. Don’t be surprised they turn out to be another Finnish company, Norsepower Oy, which was set up in 2012 to develop, test and pilot the Norsepower Rotor Sail Solution.
All will be revealed June 4.
