The president of the Port Authority of Santander, César Díaz, stated this morning during the inauguration of the extension of the container crane rails at Raos 3 that, with this project, which has involved an investment of almost 2.5 million euros by the port administration, “We have doubled the performance capacity of this dock and provided an immediate response to the demands of our clients. This means that from now on, two vessels can operate simultaneously at the Boluda container terminal,” explained the president of Santander, César Díaz.
For the president of the Port Authority, there was an evident need to undertake these works since “Boluda Maritime Terminals is proving to be one of the most competitive facilities in our country because, in just two years, it has not only been able to exceed the best forecasts but is also knocking on the door of the national top 10,” indicated César Díaz. For his part, the executive president of Boluda Shipping, Ignacio Boluda, stated that this investment “represents a significant improvement for our facility, thereby guaranteeing the work window for the different regular container services and ensuring the operability of the port,” commented Ignacio Boluda.
