Scan Global’s new wholly owned business platform in the United Arab Emirates is to handle both global and local logistics customers with product flows to and from Dubai.
Logistics company Scan Global Logistics dials up its business activities in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Scan Global, headquartered in Denmark and massively growing in recent years via a series of acquisitions, is increasing its presence in Dubai and the UAE, according to a statement.
The company has been represented in Dubai for years, but new legislation, the so-called ”no-local sponsor regulation,” now enables Scan Global to establish a wholly owned business platform in the UAE, according to Scan Global.
The platform is to handle both global and local logistics customers with product flows to and from the emirate.
Scan Global has established two offices in Dubai, and another one will follow in the near future, the company states.
”We have grown much faster than expected and still see exponential growth. To get even closer to our key customers, we will open our next office in Abu Dhabi [the UAE capital, -ed.] in a few months, just as we expect to open a third office in Dubai,” says Scan Global Managing Director, UAE, Ayman Kabbara in the statement.
Scan Global, which last year saw revenue amounting to USD 2.3bn and an operating result (EBITDA) of USD 112m, currently has 130 offices in the EMEA, Americas, Southeast Asia and Pacific regions as well as 2,300 employees.
