Schottel will supply azimuth thrusters for four wind turbine installation vessels for China’s Ouyang Offshore
Each vessel will be equipped with two electrically-driven Type 430 Schottel RudderPropeller azimuth thrusters and two Type STT 4 transverse thrusters to ensure DP-mode manoeuvrability and precise positioning.
The 90-m long vessels will be able to operate in a working depth of up to 60 m.
The vessels are designed to install 16-MW wind turbines and conduct maintenance work and will have accommodation for 100 people on board.
The first vessel will be delivered in Q4 2022 and the whole series of vessels is set to be fully delivered by June 2023.
