The shipping and logistics company SDK Freja, owned by the Østergaard family through the company United Shipping and Trading Company (USTC), concluded the fiscal year /25 with a pre-tax profit of 170 million kroner, from a revenue of 6.3 billion kroner.
“Our strong results are driven by a clear strategic direction, consistent customer focus, a strong ability for organizational adaptation, and the engagement and market insight of our employees. This fosters close collaboration with customers and partners, which has strengthened our position as a trusted partner in both shipping and logistics,” says Søren Gran Hansen, Group CEO of SDK Freja.
“It is very positive that both our Shipping and Logistics divisions have achieved higher revenue than in /24 and higher than our expectations, just as EBIT in both divisions is also better than expected. The overall activity level in Shipping and Logistics has increased, which is satisfactory considering weak macroeconomics in most of our key markets as well as high price pressure,” says Søren Gran Hansen.
SDK Freja became known to the broader public in 2023 as the majority shareholder in Nordic Waste, which was caught in a media storm due to a landslide containing contaminated soil. Nordic Waste went bankrupt at the beginning of 2024.
