Seatrade Cruise Med will take place in Málaga from 14 to 15 September 2022
Seatrade Cruise Med has announced its programming for its 2022 edition, which will take place at the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga from 14 to 15 September.
The conference will focus on the theme of ‘Steering Change Together’, with discussions on sustainability, onshore experiences, ports and destinations, technology, expedition cruising, luxury cruising, and more.
Confirmed sessions for 2022 include the keynote ‘State of the Mediterranean Cruise Industry’, a discussion of ‘Alternative Fuels: Alternative Options, and The Changing Geography of Med: Adapting and Improvising’ and ‘Beyond the Poles: Expedition Workshop’. Also scheduled is a session on ‘Human vs Machine – The Impact of Technology on Shoreside Experiences’ and a panel titled ‘Are you Fit for 55? – Moving Towards a Carbon-Free Future’.
Free-to-attend sessions on the Showcase Deck of the exhibition floor also explore topics including up-and-coming destinations, health and safety, IT developments and additional interviews with cruise executives.
CLIA Ports & Destinations Dialogue, an invitation-only event designed to create discourse on port and destination’s role in the growth of the Mediterranean cruise industry, will be hosted by Cruise Lines International Association on 13 September ahead of the event. The gathering will include roundtable discussions, presentations and concurrent sessions, alongside opportunities to network.
Finally, the Seatrade Cruise Awards will host its 2022 awards ceremony on the first day of the event, recognising notable contributions to the cruise industry. Entries for the awards are now open for submission.
