On August 26, Shanghai Municipal Development &Reform Commission issuedPolicies on Supporting the High-quality Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Lin-gangSpecialArea of China (Shanghai), which will build an “international hydrogen valley”, plan to build a hydrogen port, and gradually explore the construction of a national hydrogen exchange.
According to the policy, Shanghai will plan to build a hydrogen port, will support the demonstration application of hydrogen energy in Yangshan Port and other regions, increase the coverage of hydrogen energy in multiple scenarios, promote the planning and construction of hydrogen refueling stations in port, and build green and smart demonstration ports of hydrogen energy.
The policy also plans to build a hydrogen trading base. In Yangshan deep-water port, South portto establish hydrogen ship transport terminals and hydrogen storage and transportation bases.
In addition, Shanghai will support leading domestic hydrogen energy enterprises and professional carbon trading platforms to set up hydrogen energy trading platforms.
