THERE is a slight drop in shipping confidence drop in the latest Shipping Confidence Report, down to 6.8 out of 10 from 7.2 out of 10, reports BDO United Kingdom, London, a financial services provider.
The general trend is intended to make a significant investment in the next 12 months. This has continued its upward trend for European business types, but saw a significant fall in Asia.
Expectations are that the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) will climb between 2,000 and 3,000.
It is much more tempered than 12 months ago when respondents accurately predicted the spikes in the BDI of October 2021 at 5,650 and May 2022 at 3,369.
