4.97 million mt of various marine fuel grades were delivered at the world’s largest bunkering port in August, up from 4.56 million mt recorded during the similar month in 2024
Sales of marine fuel at Singapore port increased by 8.9% on year in August 2025, according to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) data.
In total, 4.97 million metric tonnes (mt) (exact 4,965,300 mt) of various marine fuel grades were delivered at the world’s largest bunkering port in August, up from 4.56 million mt (4,559,500 mt) recorded during the similar month in 2024.
Deliveries of marine fuel oil, low sulphur fuel oil, ultra low sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in August (against on year) recorded respectively 1.89 million mt (+11.8% from 1.69 million mt), 2.50 million mt (+2.5% from 2.44 million mt), zero (from zero), 1,800 mt (-71.9% from 6,400 mt) and zero (from zero).
Bio-blended variants of marine fuel oil, low sulphur fuel oil, ultra low sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in August, (against on year) recorded respectively 34,700 mt (+209.8% from 11,200 mt), 93,800 mt (+69.9% from 55,200 mt), zero (from zero), zero (-100% from 800) and zero (from zero). B100 biofuel bunkers, introduced in February this year, recorded 4,800 mt of deliveries in August.
LNG and methanol sales were respectively 67,000 mt (46.9% from 45,600) and zero (from zero). There were no recorded sales of ammonia for the month and so far in 2025.
