Norwegian carrier Solstad Offshore has landed several agreements with a string of undisclosed subsea contractors.
Contracts all apply to ship Normand Maximus and will be carried out during 2023. The projects have a combined duration of 200 days plus additional option periods, and value of the firm part is approx. USD 50m, the carrier reveals in an issued statement.
Solstad Offshore recently underwent widespread clear-out of its fleet as part of the company’s ongoing restructuring.
However, the company is not completely out of the bushes just yet, in spite of a general upswing within the supply sector as the company is still heavily indebted in US dollars.
Both second and third quarter of 2022 was marked by currency exchange losses in the company’s debt, having otherwise seen a spike in both revenue and operating profit.
