Solstad Offshore reported charters for construction support vessels (CSVs) Normand Cutter and Normand Sentinel with a total gross value of Nkr540M (US$54M)
Both CSVs are deployed in the Americas under the contracts.
Normand Cutter has been awarded a contract with an undisclosed client in South America for a firm charter period of 460 days with the possibility of a further 480 days extension. The contract will begin Q4 2022. Based on a VS 4125 design, 2001-built, Norway-flagged Normand Cutter will provide support including remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for decommissioning activities in South America. The dynamic positioning class-2-capable CSV has an overall length of 128 m, beam of 27 m, with a cargo deck area of 1,600 m2 and accommodation for 114.
Meanwhile, Subtec has exercised its option to extend the contract for Normand Sentinel, fixing the vessel until 31 December 2023. It holds another one-year option. 2015-built Normand Sentinel will continue its operation in the Gulf of Mexico, where it has been on contract with Subtec since 2015. Normand Sentinel is based on a Vard 3 07 design, with an overall length of 143 m, beam of 25 m, with DP 3 capability, deck cargo area of 1,800 m2 and accommodation for 130.
