Solstad Rederi AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solstad Offshore ASA, has sold 16-year-old platform supply vessel (PSV) Normand Corona
Built in 2006 by Kleven Verft, the vessel is an MT 6000 MK II design PSV, with an overall length of 86 m, beam of 20 m, with a clear deck area of 941 m2 and 3,400 tonne deck load capacity. Under DNV class and the Norwegian International Register, Normand Corona was formerly Rem Fortune.
It was delivered to its new owner 14 June. Solstad did not disclose details on the buyer or the sale price.
Leading ship valuation firm UK-based VesselsValue put the market value of Normand Corona at US$4.8M as of 13 June.
Solstad has been rationalising its fleet as part of its restructuring through the sale of ‘non-strategic’ vessels. It most recently completed the sale of six PSVs, and overall has divested 37 vessels from its fleet.
