Strategic Marine and Prima Marine have delivered two 42-metre Generation 4 Fast Crew Boats (FCBs) to NMDC LTS, marking the first such delivery to the company, according to the release.
The vessels were designed for offshore operations in the Middle East and developed in collaboration with Southerly Designs. The FCBs incorporate Strategic Marine’s hull form intended to maximise fuel efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and improve seakeeping, and each vessel is fitted with a Gyro Stabilizer system aimed at enhancing roll reduction and stability.
The vessels accommodate up to 80 personnel in ergonomic seating and include reinforced cargo decks for flexible offshore use. They are prepared for possible hybrid upgrades and for integrating walk-to-work or motion-compensated gangway systems. Strategic Marine CEO Chan Eng Yew said the delivery extends the company’s presence in the Middle East and demonstrates its focus on solutions for evolving offshore needs.
