Subsea7 announced the award of a significant contract by Ithaca Energy, for the provision of off-station decommissioning services for the Alba floating storage unit and the FPF-1 production facility from the Greater Stella field, approximately 230 kilometers east of Aberdeen.
This decommissioning scope includes the cleaning of subsea pipelines, the provision of dive support vessel services, and seabed clearance.
Project management and engineering will begin immediately at Subsea7’s office in Aberdeen. The start of offshore activities is planned for the second quarter of 2026.
Hani El Kurd, Senior Vice President of Inspection, Repair and Maintenance globally and for the UK at Subsea7, stated that “this award provides an excellent opportunity to further demonstrate the scope of our three decades of proven full-field decommissioning experience and our ability to deliver complex, safe, and effective solutions.”
