On April 25, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding,jointly with ChinaShipbuilding TradingandTaiChong Cheang Steamship (H.K.)successfully signed a contract for the construction of two 114,000dwt Aframax product tankers.
This type of 114,000dwtAframax producttanker is independently developed and designed by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. The total length of this type of ship is 249.95 meters, the molded width is 44 meters, the molded depth is 21.2 meters, the design draft is 13.5 meters, and the design speed is 14.5 knots.
The ship meets EEDI Phase III and IMO Tier IIIrequirements, and the emission of sulfur oxides meets the requirements of 0.1%. It is a green ship with environmental protection, energy saving, safety and economy.
TaiChong Cheang Steamship (H.K.)was established in Shanghai in 1917. It is a shipping company with a history of 100 years and is also a member ofHong Kong Shipowners Association.
