The Lifetime Achievement Award 2022 will be presented at the Tanker Shipping & Trade Conference, Exhibition and Awards in Athens, 9-10 November 2022, to well-known shipping finance lawyer and industry figure Harry Theochari
Mr Theochari OBE has contributed to shipping finance as a lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright.
He led the shipping finance division worldwide and is now a Norton Rose Fulbright senior consultant. He is chair emeritus of Maritime UK, chair of Maritime London and a member of the Institute of Maritime Law Advisory Board of the University of Southampton.
In June 2022, he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and is recognised by Tanker Shipping & Trade as one of the 50 most influential people in the tanker industry.
He was cited by Chambers Global 2022 as a senior states person for shipping finance and was named by Best Lawyers as a ’lawyer of the year’ 2021.
