The port of Santa Cruz received the first call of the cruise ship MEIN SCHIFF RELAX, which will have its home port operations until the month of April, to cover an itinerary that, with departure and return to Tenerife, will take it to Arrecife, Las Palmas, La Palma and Funchal. On this day, 1,923 passengers disembarked and 1,969 cruise passengers embarked. On the occasion of this first visit, the president of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Pedro Suárez, performed the traditional exchange of plaques with the captain on board the ship.
It should be noted that the MEIN SCHIFF RELAX was the ship that carried out the first supply of liquefied natural gas at the south dock, a service that until now had only been performed at the Tenerife cruise terminal. This operation marks the beginning of a series of LNG supplies planned for the current season, which will reinforce the port’s role as a strategic infrastructure for cruise traffic operating with clean energy.
