In a gesture to commemorate the National Holidays, Terminal Portuario Valparaíso (TPV), operator of Terminal 2 of the Port of Valparaíso, installed one of the largest Chilean flags in the city.
The initiative seeks to celebrate the history, culture and spirit of the nation on such a significant date and in a key activity for the country, such as the port industry,” the concessionaire stated.
The imposing flag measures 12 meters long by 8 meters high and can be seen from different points of the city. “It hangs majestically from one of the terminal’s Gottwald cranes. This milestone not only symbolizes TPV’s commitment to the Valparaíso community, but also enhances the importance of the port as a fundamental pillar of the economy and regional identity,” TPV emphasized.
The general manager of Terminal Portuario Valparaíso, Manuel Cañas Estévez, stated that “at TPV we are committed to Valparaíso. With this giant flag, we not only celebrate the National Holidays and recognize the work of the port worker, but we also reaffirm our deep bond with the community and the pride of being part of the history of this city, from the heart of the port.”
The flag will be visible to the entire community and visitors, “reaffirming civic pride and TPV’s connection with the celebrations of our National Holidays,” the entity concluded.
