Jinan, September 11 (People’s Daily Online) — By Zhuang Runze. On September 10, the 20th China International Logistics Festival and the 22nd China International Transportation & Logistics Expo, jointly hosted by the China Communications and Transportation Association and the Shandong Port Group, opened at the Jinan Yellow River International Conference and Exhibition Center. With the theme “Jointly Building International Logistics Corridors and Exploring New Blue Oceans for Global Trade,” this year’s event focuses on the construction of international logistics corridors that facilitate east-west coordination and land-sea synergy, promoting trade facilitation and serving high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
The conference facilitated exchanges on topics such as technological innovation, green and low-carbon development, standardization, and enhancing supply chain resilience. It advocated for the use of digital and intelligent means to optimize the layout of logistics infrastructure and improve the efficiency of full-chain coordination, thereby promoting the development of a unified national market and the synergy of “domestic and international dual circulation.”

During the release session, Shandong Port Group launched its “Land-Sea Interconnection” series of digital products, providing precise matching and bottleneck resolution solutions for both supply and demand ends to help reduce costs and increase efficiency. The inaugural voyage ceremony for the “Shanxi-Rizhao-Zhangzhou” 35-ton open-top railway container sea-rail intermodal “one-container” liner service was held, achieving seamless transport without unpacking or changing containers, reducing comprehensive logistics costs, and creating a model of efficient “port-shipping-rail” coordination. Shandong Port Group, together with the China International Logistics Festival organizing committee and various parties, initiated a proposal for a Global Logistics Supply Chain Ecosystem Alliance, jointly aiming to build a modern logistics ecosystem that is open and inclusive, collaborative and symbiotic, smart and efficient, and mutually beneficial. The China International Logistics Festival organizing committee also presented a strategic partnership plaque to Shandong Port Logistics Group.
After the opening ceremony, attending guests visited the exhibition hall to inspect the Shandong Port and other themed exhibition areas and witnessed the launch of co-branded products by Gangyijia and Sinopec Lubricant Company.
Ports are fundamental and pivotal facilities, serving as important supports for economic development. Since its establishment, Shandong Port Group has focused on serving major national strategies such as the “Belt and Road” Initiative, RCEP, and the Yellow River strategy, actively integrating into the construction of a modern logistics system, and ensuring the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chains. Its cargo throughput has consecutively surpassed six 100-million-ton milestones, exceeding 1.8 billion tons, and its container volume has surpassed 44 million TEUs, ranking first and second globally, respectively. As a key logistics node, Shandong Port Group has currently built a “golden channel” for two-way opening on land and sea through 363 shipping routes, 54 inland dry ports, and 106 freight train services. It is accelerating its transformation from a “single port operator” to a “comprehensive supply chain service provider,” creating a “value engine” that connects industries and activates ecosystems.
