The fleet renewal program of TEN is proceeding at a very fast pace, following the delivery of a newly built vessel from the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyards in South Korea. The Suezmax-sized tanker named “M/T SILIA T”, with a capacity of 156,833 dwt, is the fourth newly built vessel to be added to the TEN fleet within 2025.
This is a vessel whose advanced design incorporates advanced technological features and the most modern environmental specifications. At the same time, it highlights the Tsakos Group’s commitment to sustainable development, as well as its pursuit to improve the environmental performance of its fleet.
It is worth noting that the “M/T SILIA T” will sail under the Greek flag, while it has been classified by the Lloyd’s Register classification society. Furthermore, the tanker has already secured a long-term time charter from a company operating in the energy sector.
The “M/T SILIA T” is part of TEN’s fleet expansion and renewal program, which provides for the delivery of a total of 23 newly built vessels by the end of 2028.
