COSCO’s 20,000-TEU Cosco Shipping Taurus recently called for the first time at the tti Algeciras, the largest company containership to dock at the semi-automated terminal.
The ship belongs to the AEU3 service that links Asia and Northern Europe, after lifting more than 1,000 containers to and from the ship at Algeciras, reports WPO.
This summer TTI Algeciras has been preparing for the full utilisation of five of its eight super postpanamax cranes to Malaccamax, a project that is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
In September, the fourth ship-to-shore crane will arrive increasing its height from 43 to 52 metres and thus being able to operate up to 12 deck heights, and in the extension of its boom by three metres to exceed row 24 abeam.
