The Greek Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp., led by Ioannis A. Alafouzos, announced yesterday that Robert Knapp and Joshua Nemser have decided to resign as directors of the company, effective October 10, 2025.

In a filling, the VLCC and suezmax company clarified that the two resignations did not result from any disagreement with the company or its management.

The Oslo Stock and New York listed company also reported that the company’s board of directors has not yet determined whether to reduce the size of the board or to fill the relevant vacancies.

The board of directors remains comprised of a majority of independent directors.

The composition of each of the committees of the board of directors remains the same and is unaffected by these resignations, Okeanis Eco Tankers said, except for the remuneration committee, which remains comprised of Charlotte Stratos and Francis “Frank” Dunne.

Ioannis Alafouzos, chairman of the board, pointed out: “We sincerely thank Robert and Joshua for their many contributions and dedication to Okeanis. They both served as directors since the beginning of our journey, over seven years ago. Their experience, expertise, and guidance, were instrumental in forming the path that the company has taken. We regret that they have resigned and wish them well.”

OET’s fleet consists of six scrubber-fitted suezmax tankers and eight modern scrubber-fitted VLCC tankers.
