The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced its most extensive sanctions package yet against Iran-backed Houthi maritime operations, targeting 32 individuals, multiple shipping companies, and four vessels linked to the group’s global network. The move is aimed at disrupting financial flows, procurement activities, and smuggling operations that support Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, according to a report from gCaptain.
LNG Carrier and Bunkering Capabilities
The new dual-purpose design integrates both LNG transportation and bunkering functions, enabling efficient supply operations for a wide range of receiving vessels. ABS conducted detailed design reviews in line with class and statutory requirements, underscoring the safety and compliance of the project.
