US LNG Exports Hit Record High in September

Must read

US liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports reached a record 9.4 million metric tons in September, surpassing the previous high of 9.3 million MT in August, according to LSEG. Europe remained the top buyer, taking two-thirds of volumes, while Asia increased purchases to 17% of the total. Exports to Latin America declined with the end of winter, while Egypt boosted imports to offset falling gas production. Despite outages at Sabine Pass and Cove Point, strong demand and high benchmark prices in Europe and Asia supported record shipments, cementing the US role as the world’s largest LNG exporter.
