Valaris appoints new executives

Must read

Rig company Valaris, headed by former Seadrill CEO Anton Dibowitz, names new executives, including a new CFO.

Valaris has named new executives to enter its senior management, appointing a chief financial officer, chief commercial officer and general counsel, according to a statement.

The firm’s new CFO is Chris Weber, who has worked at companies including Lufkin Industries, Abaco Drilling, Halliburton and Parker Drilling. He is expected to begin in the third quarter of this year, replacing Darin Gibbins, who will instead become vice president for investor relations and treasurer.

Meanwhile, Matt Lyne, coming to Valaris from a position as chief commercial and strategy officer at Seadrill, has been appointed CCO and is also expected to start in Q3, the statement reports.

Finally, Davor Vukadin, who is already a part of Valaris, has been promoted to senior vice president and general counsel.

”With the addition of these executives, I strongly believe that we have the right leadership team in place to continue building on the positive momentum we are seeing in the business,” states Chief Executive Anton Dibowitz.

Most recently, Valaris booked a net deficit of USD 40m for the year’s first three months against a profit of USD 28m for Q4 last year.
