The works on the Plisan (Salvaterra de Miño-As Neves Industrial Logistics Platform) railway siding are progressing at a good pace, according to the president of the Port Authority of Vigo, Carlos Botana. “From the Port of Vigo, the deadlines are being met,” he said.
The concrete platforms intended for cargo handling and railway logistics operations have already been completed, and the final sections of the operational tracks located on these platforms are being concreted.
Likewise, with specialized track machinery, the two dispatch-reception tracks of the siding are being executed, as well as the mango tracks in the direction of Ourense and Vigo to prepare the scheduled connection to the General Interest Railway Network.
The assembly of the catenary is also progressing well, and within the railway platforms, the lighting works and provision of fire protection are being finalized with the installation of hydrants, as well as the installation of lighting towers.
