Vow ASA has received a EUR 29.6 million purchase order for equipment deliveries to two newbuild vessels, according to the company’s stock exchange notice.

The order was placed by a major European shipyard, with deliveries for the first vessel scheduled to begin in July 2027 and continue through 2028.

The platform covers two vessels in total, and the first ship is expected to enter operation by the end of 2029.

“Through this contract, we continue our long-standing cooperation with the shipyard and the cruise line. The vessels will be fully equipped with Scanship systems, reinforcing our joint commitment to reliable and sustainable solutions,” said Gunnar Pedersen, CEO of Vow ASA.

Scanship technology will purify all wastewater on board according to standards applied in the Baltic Sea and Alaskan State waters. Residue sludge, food waste, and other biogenic waste will undergo multiple processing steps including dewatering, homogenization, drying and pyrolysis.

The system will also support circular-use practices by recovering commodities such as glass and aluminum.

Vow ASA is a Norwegian parent company headquartered in Oslo that operates through several subsidiaries in environmental and processing technologies. Its activities span the development of systems for converting various forms of waste and biomass into usable resources, as well as technologies applied in industrial decarbonisation, food safety processes, robotics applications, and heat-intensive industries.

Scanship is a subsidiary of Vow ASA that specialises in environmental technologies for maritime applications. The company develops systems for wastewater treatment and waste processing on board vessels. Its portfolio includes integrated solutions designed for compliance with international maritime environmental regulations and operational management of shipboard waste streams.
