WaveBL has agreed a deal to integrate its electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) platform with coneksion, a data connectivity provider, to support the development of automated digital trade processes for vessel operators.
The partnership will utilise coneksion’s RAPIDS Ocean Freight Data Connectivity technology to connect WaveBL’s API directly with carrier’s own systems. The set-up removes the need for custom integration work by standardising the interface between different messaging formats, including legacy EDI.
Initial functionality will include support for booking, scheduling, and shipping instructions, as well as automated exchange of documents across multiple message types.
