The WISTA Hellas Leadership Award recognizes achievement and excellence of an individual, team, company, group, or network, that has had a significant and positive impact in the maritime industry in a manner that has also demonstrated action to promote gender diversity.
Eligibility Criteria
Nominees must be active in the Greek Maritime Community, based in Greece /or have a Greek nexus. Both male and female candidates, WISTA and non-WISTA members are eligible.
Nominees must demonstrate action in gender diversity by:
Leading positive steps /or initiatives which enable professionals of all genders to access and progress in career development /or realize their full potential; /or
Evidencing accomplishment of gender diversity and equality within the candidate’s own /network; /or
Acting as an effective role model, sponsor, ally, or voice in championing gender equality within the Greek maritime community; /or
Creating an inclusive culture within the candidate’s company, group, network, organization or generally within the Greek maritime community by challenging gender inequalities, barriers, bias etc.
In addition to the above, nominations should indicate how the nominee meets one or more of the following criteria:
Enhancing competence within the Maritime Industry.
Introducing new products, solutions, innovations, business models or practices to the maritime industry.
Developing practices, models, processes, /or initiatives that facilitate sustainable business environments.
Inspiring personality or role model for young professionals and the Greek maritime industry in general.
Creating positive and productive maritime synergies within the shipping industry.
