Must read

X-Press Feeders will launch in mid-November a new weekly service connecting the main ports of the Colombian Atlantic with the Panamanian logistics hub of Manzanillo. This new route will be marketed under the name North Colombia America X-Press (NCX).

“Maersk will join as a slot operator and will terminate its own Manzanillo-Colombia (Cumbia) feeder service. The Taiwanese shipping line Evergreen, which currently participates in Maersk’s service under the CAC brand, is also expected to join the new X-Press Feeders route,” said Alphaliner.

The NCX service will call at Manzanillo (Panama), Cartagena (Colombia), Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Manzanillo, Barranquilla and back to Manzanillo.

“It will operate on two-week cycles with two 1,100 TEU vessels, the Wind and the Kamdhenu, with the latter starting the service from Manzanillo on November 13,” the consultancy said.

“Both Maersk and Evergreen will continue to use their respective Cumbia and CAC brands to market their participation in the X-Press Feeders service,” it concluded.
