On November 26, the 25,900-ton stainless steel chemical tanker built by the Nanjing Branch of China Merchants Industry Yangzhou Dingheng Shipyard successfully returned after completing all sea trial items, marking the successful completion of the vessel’s trial voyage mission. This is the first independently executed ship trial project since the establishment of the Nanjing Branch, verifying the branch’s practical capability in the full-process construction of high-end chemical tankers.
As the first stainless steel chemical tanker undertaken by the Nanjing Branch, this project has been listed as a key project since its commencement. Centered on the core goal of “zero safety hazards, full performance compliance,” this sea trial underwent multiple rounds of professional tests, with all indicators accurately meeting the design standards and classification society requirements.
To ensure the smooth progress of the sea trial, the project team adopted the action principle of “I am a Party member, I take the lead,” with Party Committee members at the helm, uniting efforts to tackle challenges. During the preliminary preparation phase, Party member technical backbones proactively shouldered heavy responsibilities, leading the team to conduct multiple rounds of solution demonstrations and practical tests to address issues such as process optimization and system coordination and adaptation. During the sea trial, Party members fully played their vanguard and exemplary roles, taking the lead in holding key positions, coordinating work in all aspects in real-time, and fulfilling the commitment of “Party members leading the way” through action.
The success of this sea trial not only accumulated practical experience in the construction and trials of high-end chemical tankers for the Nanjing Branch but also strengthened team cohesion and combat effectiveness with the clear guidance of “Party members leading the way,” laying a solid foundation for subsequent projects. In the next step, the Nanjing Branch will deepen the work philosophy of exploration and innovation, rely on the technical support of the headquarters, continue to深耕 the high-end chemical tanker field, optimize full-process management, and improve construction efficiency and quality, helping the shipyard consolidate its competitive advantage in the niche market.
